Fair Lady - K. Carmen, Masterton, New Zealand.

White flowers flushed with pink.

Fair Oaks - J. Whitlesey, Oroville (California) U.S.A.  1986.

Found in the garden of the Whitlesey family home by John Whitlesey, (first President of the International Violet Association) who runs one of North America's premier violet nurseries.

It is described as being significantly different to any other V. odorata  cultivar in that it has slightly hirsute leaves, and extremely vigorous growth.  The flowers whilst being small are borne on long slender 6 in stems, and are a delicate shade of lilac-pink, fading nearly to white with a lovely perfume.

Fairy Wings – See ‘Piglet’.

Fashion - Origins unknown.

Fragrant purple flowers.

Florence Lee - Jean Burrows (Avon) UK.

Medium sized royal purple flowers, the upper two petals are long and the blooms are held on medium stems, above the small leaved foliage.  Late flowering, low growing and compact.

Floribunda  - G.W. Boothby, Louth (Lincolnshire) UK. 1860.

A seedling of  'Giant'.

Bluish-purple flowers, very free flowering.

Fragrant White - See 'Rawson's White'.

Frances Lee - Jean Burrows (Avon) UK.

Very large white flowers that are streaked with mauve, though borne on medium sized stems.  This is a mid-season violet with medium sized foliage.

Frau Hof Gartendirektor Jühlke - Zeiner, Bornstedt (Potsdam) Germany. 1892.

A cross between 'Victoria Regina' x 'Russian Superb'.

Large light blue flowers, with a very striking fragrance.  The foliage is a very bright green.
